Lebanon I-44 Speedway roars back to life this Saturday night
By Ronnie Williams (Lebanon, MO) -- The "High-Banks"of The Lebanon I-44 Speedway roars back to NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Action Saturday night with K&N Filter Night Along with special prices at the concession stand for a Fan Appreciation night after being idle for the last 3 weeks.
After 2 weeks of NASCAR Asphalt action so far in 2017, there has yet to be a repeat winner in feature competition as several drivers are getting a handle on the early part of the season.
Current Track point leaders include 2014 Champion Kaleb Allison of Mexico with a 20 point margin over former 2-time I-44 Pro Champion Rolla's Mike Slone while St. Louis Rookie Jake Piel sets in a solid 3rd place only 29 markers behind Slone.
Fair Grove's Ricky Icenhower is just nipping ahead of Willard's Richard Lewis by only 1 point with Lebanon's Chris Johnson a solid 3rd in the standings. Both Lewis and Johnson are coming off a 1-2 finish in last weeks competition.
2015 Street Stock Champion Jordan Nisbett of Lebanon has been the runner-up in the 1st 2 races, but the consistant driving has him holding a 12 point margin over Lebanon's Aaron Douglas with Rogersville's Steve Shaw a solid third.
Defending Charger Champion Ronnie Taylor holds a slim margin over a very consistant Jerry Ellis of Richland with Highlandville's Justin Gantt close behind.
This Saturday June 10, It's K&N and Fan Appreciation Night. Hotdogs, Hamburgers, Popcorn and Soda $1.00 each. Along with NASCAR Whelen All-American racing action for Late Models, Modified, Street Stock and Chargers. Pit gates open at 4, with hot laps at 5. Grandstand and Tier Parking gates open at 6 with racing action at 7:30.
