Chick Scores Runner-Up Result at Lebanon I-44 Speedway
Inside Line Promotions – LEBANON, Mo. (June 14, 2017) – Mandy Chick earned her first podium finish of the season last Saturday at Lebanon I-44 Speedway.
Chick opened the night by guiding her late model to the third quickest qualifying time around the paved oval.
“A goal of ours this season was to improve on qualifying,” she said. “We did just that. We were fast when we unloaded and that showed right from the start.”
The feature inversion lined Chick up on the pole for the main event. She slipped to second, where she remained until the checkered flag was waved.
“Overall, I think that it was a fantastic race,” she said. “We fought numerous times for the lead. The guy that ended up winning was actually the 2016 Missouri State Late Model Champion so he had several years of experience and getting to race with him helped me a lot with my own driving style and ability. I definitely learned a lot from that race that I can apply to the next one.”
Chick is scheduled to return to Lebanon I-44 Speedway this Saturday in an attempt to capture her first win at her home track.
“We’re coming back to I-44 this weekend so that’s another opportunity to try and pick up that win before the JEGS/CRA All Stars Tour comes,” she said.
