Lebanon I-44 Speedway back in action as coaches battle on the racetrack
By Ronnie Williams (Lebanon, MO) -- After a 2 week break, The "High-Banks" of The Lebanon I-44 Speedway will return to NASCAR Short-Track action as The Battle Of Camdenton and Lebanon will start on the racetrack as Lebanon Yellow Jacket Football Coach Will Christian and Camdenton Laker Coach Jeff Shore will put on the drivers helmets instead of head-sets and settle the battle of Highway 5 in The 1st ever Coaches Challenge. For every voucher received, 50% of that admission money will go towards either the Lebanon or Camdenton Athletic program. The Mid-season break has allowed teams a chance to regroup and prepare for the 2nd half stretch drive in the chase for a 2017 NASCAR Track Championship.
Currently Rolla's Mike Slone heads both the track and Missouri State NASCAR Standings in the Pro Late Model division while defending champion Brian Brown has clawed by into the 2nd spot in track point while now listed 3rd in the Missouri State standings while former champion Tim Swearengin has moved into 3rd in the track points and is listed as 2nd in the State standings. Fair Grove's Ricky Icenhower holds a 110 point margin over Lebanon's Chris Johnson in the NSCAR Modified class. A new leader in the NASCAR Street Stock divison as Speingfield's Dodge boy Nick Cherry has moved into the top spot but finds Lebanon drivers Michael Juergensen and Jordan Nisbett nipping on his back bumper and Springfield's Ronnie Taylor is holding a slim 62 point lead over Richland's Jerry Ellis in the NASCAR Charger Class.
Grandstand gates will open at 6PM while Tier Parking opens at 5:30. Qualifying will begin at 6:30 with racing action to start at 7:30. Grandstand admission is $12 for Adults with Seniors and Military discount being offered at $ 7. Juniors age 11-15 are only $5 and kids 10 and under are Free. A family pack includes 2 adults and 2 Junors for only $29. Tier Adult prices are $15 with Seniors and Military at $8. Juniors are 6 in Tier and a 6 pack special is offered in Tier with 6 Adults in the same vehicle for $75 or buy 5 get 1 free.
