This Saturday night, June 15th, is the Federal Protection Hillbilly Classic presented by Clayton Homes at Lebanon I-44 Speedway! There are many special many special events ang giveaways going on this Saturday night at the racetrack that you don’t want to miss! First off, Federal Protection has put up three new security systems valued at $2,000 a piece to be given away this weekend. One will go to the Pro Late Model winner, another to the Big 10 Late Model winner, and the third will go to one lucky fan! KOLR 10 will also be giving away four St. Louis Cardinals tickets to another lucky fan. If all these giveaways aren’t enough for you, there is still more! At intermission there will be a power wheels race for kids 12 & under! The classes will be broken down by age into four classes. To cap it all off, the Fan Deck will be re-opened this Saturday night and will be fully stocked with beer! And of course, all five weekly racing classes will be on hand to provide exciting door-to-door action from start to finish! $12.00 will admit an adult into the grandstands as well as special pricing for military and seniors and kids 12 & under are always free!
Kicking off the night will be the 4-cylinder Hornet class on the 1/5th -mile inner track. Currently, Chris Albright leads his older brother in the Championship by just one point. Although, Jeffery Albright is hot off a feature win and is looking to steal the points lead from his brother this weekend. Mason Mundy is looking to beat both Albright brothers and show that he has what it takes to win this Championship as well.
Next on the card will be the Street Stocks. Matt Pilant leads the Championship by 6 points over Trevor Icenhower coming into the Hillbilly Classic weekend. Icenhower is hot off a win last weekend at Bolivar Speedway and is hoping he found the little bit of speed he needs to take the points lead back from Pilant this weekend.
The mighty Modifieds will then roll out onto the High-Banks for some open-wheel action. Last race, Richard Lewis showed the field that he has what it takes to be a Champion as he picked up the win and claimed his stake at the top of the Championship leaderboard. This weekend, Lewis will defend his win against the likes of Ricky Icenhower, Michael Juergenson and Brian Brown.
The Big 10 Late Models have had three different winners in three races so far at Lebanon I-44 Speedway. Justin Blake picked up his first win of 2019 at the last race. This win propelled Blake to the points lead by just two points over Jimmy Fohn and 8 points over Kennie Dickinson. This Championship battle is shaping up to be one for the books! Will there be a fourth winner this weekend? Or will one of these three drivers grab their second win of the season?
Finally, the Pro Late Models will cap off the night. This will be an exciting race to watch this Saturday as Tony Jackson Jr. and Cole Williams won’t be on hand since the Ozark Asphalt Late Model Series has the weekend off, but the weekly Pro Late Model drivers will be in full force. Tim Swearengin has the points lead for the weekly Pro Late Model Championship with Terry Limberopolous just 7 points back coming into the weekend. Who will be the first driver to claim a weekly show Pro Late Model win?
We hope to see all of you this Saturday night! The gates will open at 5:00PM and racing will begin at 7:30PM. Don’t forget to charge up those power wheels and cheer your kid around the racetrack during intermission! For more information visit i44speedway.net or find us on Facebook!
